Added
  • Interface zoom (#5464). The four fixed font-size tiers are replaced by a Zoom slider (70–150%) in Settings → Layout & Density that scales the whole interface, not just text: sidebars, the server rail, avatars, icons, spacing and headers all grow together, and the layout reflows instead of running off screen. Your old Small/Normal/Large/XL choice is migrated to the closest zoom level automatically, and the setting is applied before the first paint so nothing jumps on load. At 100% the UI is unchanged from before. Thanks to @Bo0sted for a meticulous conversion.
  • Keyboard control for the emoji picker (#5459). Ctrl+E opens and closes it, arrow keys move a highlight through the grid, Enter inserts the highlighted emoji and closes, Shift+Enter inserts without closing so you can pick several, and Escape closes. The first emoji is highlighted the moment the picker opens, so Enter works without arrowing first. Thanks to @Bo0sted.
  • Sliding switches for on/off settings. Settings that toggle something now render as switches instead of checkboxes, themed from your accent colour. Settings → Layout & Density has a Toggle Style control to switch back to classic boxes. Lists where you tick items — permissions, channel and media pickers, backup contents, polls — deliberately stay as checkboxes, since those are selections rather than settings.
  • Activity toggles in the status menu. Clicking your status dot now also offers Music Activity and Game Activity under a Share Activity heading, so you can flip what you broadcast without opening Settings. The full Activity section is unchanged and still holds the master switch and account connections. A toggle only reads as on when something would actually be shared; ticking one with no linked account takes you to Settings → Activity to set it up.
Changed
  • The status dot is now a button. It always opened the status menu, but an 8px dot did not look clickable. It now sits inside a proper button with hover and focus states, while keeping its own shapes for Do Not Disturb, Away and Invisible.
Fixed
  • AI noise suppression failed after leaving and rejoining a call (#5458). The worklet module is registered per AudioContext, but the check that decided whether to register it keyed on a value that survived teardown. Rejoining built a fresh AudioContext, skipped registration, and enabling Suppression (AI) threw an InvalidStateError. The check now keys on the AudioContext itself. Reported by @Serionard.
  • AI noise suppression produced a constant crackle (#5458). The worklet drained its output buffer with no headroom, and because RNNoise's 480-sample frames do not divide evenly into the browser's 128-sample audio blocks, the buffer periodically ran dry and emitted digital silence — measured at 5.07% of all output samples, in gaps recurring around 72 Hz, which is audible as broadband clicking. Output now goes through a ring FIFO with independent read and write cursors and two frames of pre-fill. This adds roughly 9–19 ms of latency and a one-off ~19 ms of silence when you switch suppression on. Diagnosis and approach from @Serionard.
  • The member-list gear menu did nothing on narrow windows (#5462). Below 900px the right sidebar becomes a slide-in overlay with a very high stacking order, and the gear menu was opening behind it. Reported by @birdcrazy.
  • Channel-scoped delete permissions were ignored (#5461). Someone granted "delete any message" through a channel's own role saw no Delete option, because the client decided from your level rather than your permissions. Separately, deleting a channel only ever consulted server-wide roles, so a channel creator holding delete_channel through the channel role could not delete the channel they had just made, nor its sub-channels. Both now honour channel-scoped grants, and a grant on a parent channel covers its sub-channels. Reported by @birdcrazy.
  • Changing the Channel Creator Role reported "No changes to save" (#5461). The setting saved correctly; only the confirmation was wrong. Reported by @birdcrazy.
  • Hint text under a setting could overlap its control. Hints sat 2px too high and ran the full panel width, so they slid underneath the control on the right. They now clear it and wrap before reaching it.
  • The PiP thread panel lost its clamp to the viewport height in the web client, so on a short window it could extend past the bottom of the screen.
  • Admin action buttons no longer sit in ragged rows. View Bans, View IP Bans, View Deleted Users and View All Members now share an even grid.
